Water

How much:

"The rule of thumb is to store at least one gallon per person per day for at least 3 days (for earthquake preparedness). That's 2 quarts for drinking and 2 quarts for food preparation and sanitation. A family of four should store a minimum of 12 gallons of water for emergency storage."(www.nationalterroralert.com/safewater/)

Since I use more than 3 Quarts a day to drink I need at least one more quart per day.  The above is a suggestion for a bare minimum.

Since, I have no desire to redo what has been well-done elsewhere, here are a couple good links to trusted sources for more information on water processing and storage.

I'll be working on information about water catchment too, so you can collect rainwater for watering plants, washing, etc.
